New 'Wicked' Funko Fusion DLC Features Shiz University Styles
2025-03-08 16:56:36The world of 'Wicked' continues to expand in Funko Fusion! The third DLC pack based on the hit musical film introduces fresh takes on beloved characters, including the in-game debut of Winkie Prince Fiyero. Also joining the roster are Elphaba and Glinda, sporting their Shiz University attire.
While Elphaba and Glinda are already playable in Funko Fusion with their signature looks, this expansion showcases their earlier days at Shiz University. Players can now experience the magic of these iconic characters in their school uniforms.
The 'Wicked' film, adapted from the first act of the hit 2003 Broadway musical, has taken the world by storm. Premiering in November, the film has earned nearly $730 million globally and received ten Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress for Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and Best Supporting Actress for Ariana Grande as Glinda, ultimately winning two awards.
Following the release of the first two 'Wicked' DLC packs in December, featuring characters like Madame Morrible, The Wizard, and the initially released versions of Elphaba and Glinda, this latest expansion offers a nostalgic look at the characters' time at Shiz. Elphaba is styled with her signature asymmetrical glasses, while Glinda wears her pink and gray striped ensemble. Fiyero is available in both his dashing woodsman attire from his first meeting with Elphaba and his flamboyant 'Dancing Through Life' costume.
The 'Wicked' DLC Pack 3 includes:
- Elphaba (Shiz University)
- Glinda (Shiz University)
- Fiyero
Priced at $4.99, the DLC is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. A Nintendo Switch release date is yet to be announced. This pack offers additional value compared to the previous two, which launched at $7.99 each, and includes one extra character. It’s also half the price of the recent Universal Monsters pack, which featured four characters: Dracula, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, and the Wolf Man.
While this new content offers exciting options for 'Wicked' fans in Funko Fusion, the game's developer, 10:10 Games, recently faced layoffs reportedly due to the game's underperformance. Reports from February indicated that 19 employees were laid off in mid-January, attributed to the game's struggles in the market.
