World of Warcraft players can look forward to major profession changes arriving with Patch 11.1, Undermined, on February 25th. This update streamlines the acquisition of Enchanted Crests and offers a one-time profession specialization reset.

Patch 11.1 marks the first major content update for World of Warcraft since the expansion's launch. Players will journey to the Undermine, the goblins' legendary subterranean capital.  The patch also sets the stage for Season 2, launching on March 4th. Note that some Season 1 rewards will become unavailable after these updates.

Key profession updates in Patch 11.1 include a one-time opportunity to reset specialization points for both Dragon Isles and Khaz Algar profession branches. This allows players to redistribute knowledge points for professions like Engineering, Mining, and Alchemy.

Acquiring Enchanted Crests will also be simplified. Instead of crafting them, players can purchase them using Undermine Crests from vendors in Khaz Algar or from Syenite near the Crafter's Enclave in Dornogal.

These changes, coupled with updates to gear drops from Delves and Mythic+ Dungeons, provide players with more options for gearing their characters.  Furthermore, several weapon enchants, embellishments, and consumables will receive buffs to enhance their effectiveness.

For example, weapon enchants such as Authority of Radiant Power and Authority of Storys will see increased damage output compared to Season 1.

In addition to these updates, players can also anticipate a free Twitch Drops pet coming soon.  With the arrival of Undermined, it will be interesting to see how Blizzard continues to evolve professions and keep them engaging for players.

**World of Warcraft PTR Update Notes (February 21, 2025)**

**Specialization Resets:** Patch 11.1 offers a one-time reset for Dragon Isles and Khaz Algar professions. This refunds all spent knowledge points and unlearns associated recipes and benefits. Designated NPCs will facilitate this process.

**Enchanted Crests:**  Enchanted Crests will be available for purchase from Enchanting Supplies vendors and Syenite in Dornogal, simplifying the crafting process.

**Tuning:** Several underperforming weapon enchants, embellishments, and consumables have received tuning adjustments to improve their effectiveness.
