Overwatch 2's latest major content update, Season 15, has arrived with its share of expected bugs.  However, one glitch has captured the attention of players, and many are hoping it remains in the game. The bug affects Doomfist's Saitama skin, causing his cape to change colors based on equipped weapon variants.

Season 15 has had a relatively smooth launch, considering the volume of new content introduced.  The most significant addition is the long-awaited perk system. These perks offer substantial gameplay changes, allowing players to upgrade their abilities throughout a match. Each hero has four unique perks, and early fan reception has been overwhelmingly positive.

Other additions in Season 15 include a new battle pass, a Mythic Zenyatta skin, and the return of cosmetic loot boxes earnable through challenges.

Overwatch 2 has also launched its first Discord Quest, offering players free loot boxes. Competitive players can redeem Competitive Points to unlock new Galactic weapon variants for their heroes.  Interestingly, this is connected to the Doomfist skin glitch.  Equipping these weapon cosmetics also alters the color of Doomfist's Saitama skin's cape, allowing players to sport gold, jade, or Galactic-themed capes. This was recently highlighted in a Reddit post by user TurtleDasher, showcasing the cape's color variations with different weapon variants.

While visually peculiar, this bug is far from the strangest encountered in Overwatch 2.  Minor glitches are common with new season launches, often impacting hero abilities or emote animations.  However, Blizzard has a good track record of swift bug fixes, so significant issues are usually addressed quickly.

Blizzard will likely also fine-tune some hero perk effects now that they're live.  As players experiment with the new system, unforeseen exploits and unintended interactions are likely to be discovered.
