Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Receive Minor Updates and Bug Fixes
2025-02-12 04:12:15Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone received a minor update on February 11th, addressing a few bugs and making small improvements to both games. This update follows closely behind the launch of Season 2, which introduced a substantial amount of new content and gameplay enhancements, including new maps, weapons, and perks.
While Season 2 offered a wealth of content for Multiplayer and Zombies players, Warzone received less than expected. With player numbers declining and community concerns about the game's state, Activision prioritized bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements for Warzone in Season 2. This smaller update continues that focus.
The February 11th update for Black Ops 6 addresses stability problems in Zombies mode and fixes an issue preventing players from equipping certain weapon blueprints for the XMG in Multiplayer. In Ranked Play, restrictions have been implemented on the KSV and PPSh-41 SMGs, as well as the Cypher 091 Assault Rifle.
Warzone also received adjustments in this update. The Experimental Gas Grenade has been removed from Ranked Play, and several bug fixes have been implemented for standard Battle Royale and Ranked Play, including a fix for an issue preventing some players from being demoted.
This update arrives shortly after Treyarch Studios extended the recent Double XP event for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Although no official reason was given, the extension is widely believed to be compensation for the PSN outage that occurred on February 7th and 8th, which disrupted online services for approximately 24 hours.
