WWE 2K25 Turns Prime Hydration into Interactive Weapons

2025-02-09 05:47:18

The upcoming WWE 2K25 wrestling game is set to feature a unique twist on in-game weaponry: Prime Hydration.  Preview builds reveal that the Prime Hydration Station and its individual bottles will be interactive objects, usable as weapons within the game.

This integration mirrors Prime's significant presence in recent WWE broadcasts and streams.  Logan Paul's Prime Hydration advertising has become a fixture, including a prominent logo placement in the center of the WWE ring.  Wrestlers have been seen using the Hydration Station both for refreshment and as a prop in matches, and Paul himself is sometimes accompanied by a Prime mascot.

A hands-on preview of WWE 2K25's Underground Match mode offered a glimpse into the game's new features, including the Prime Hydration Station's weaponized role.  Publications like Metro have highlighted how players can interact with the station, from throwing opponents into it to using the bottles as weapons.

The inclusion of water bottles as weapons in WWE 2K24 laid the groundwork for this Prime integration.  Players could already smash each other with bottles and utilize thrown weapon techniques.  WWE 2K25 expands on this, allowing players to wield oversized Prime bottles, even using them to assist with moves like the atomic drop.

Beyond the Prime Hydration additions, WWE 2K25, slated for release on March 14th, boasts several other enhancements.  The new Island Mode introduces a quest-based system where players compete in themed arenas to impress Roman Reigns.  Backstage Brawl matches receive two new venues: the NXT Parking Lot and the WWE Archives.  Character models have also seen significant improvements, addressing previous criticisms like those directed at Bayley's WWE 2K24 model.
