The escalating cost of cosmetic items in Call of Duty has been a contentious issue for years, but a recent leak concerning Black Ops 6 has reignited the debate.  Data miners have uncovered information suggesting Activision is preparing to release its most expensive bundle yet, priced at a hefty 3,300 COD Points.

This upcoming Tracer Pack: Radiant Blight Mastercraft Ultra Skin, expected to launch during Black Ops 6 Season 2, will include a new operator skin, three weapon blueprints, a double XP token, and other cosmetic items. While most bundles typically range between 2,400 and 2,800 COD Points, this new price point sets a potentially troubling precedent.

To put this in perspective, Activision sells COD Points in various increments, from 200 points for $1.99 up to 13,000 points for $99.99.  Acquiring this bundle would likely require players to spend close to $30, a significant investment for cosmetic items.

The leak has sparked immediate backlash within the Call of Duty community. Players have taken to social media to express their frustration, criticizing Activision for what they perceive as excessive monetization practices.  Some call the price "absolutely ridiculous," while others question the seemingly boundless nature of Activision's pursuit of profit.

This isn't the first time Call of Duty bundles have faced criticism for their pricing.  Previous collaborations, such as the Squid Game crossover, also drew ire from players due to the high cost of certain skins, notably the Pink Guards Tracer Pack, which offered three faction skins for 2,800 COD Points.
