Nightdive Studios has struck gold with its latest remaster.  The Thing: Remastered, based on the 2002 game that served as a sequel to John Carpenter's iconic 1982 film, has officially become the studio's fastest-selling launch title to date. This news comes directly from an end-of-year business report released by Atari (via Yahoo Finance).  While specific sales figures remain undisclosed, Atari emphasized the game's overwhelmingly positive reception from both players and critics.

The remaster's success isn't just a matter of nostalgia. Nightdive Studios went beyond simple graphical enhancements, implementing key changes to improve the overall gameplay experience.
