Grand Theft Auto Online is ushering in the Year of the Snake with a vibrant array of special events and rewards.  Starting January 23rd, players can dive into new stunt races adorned with festive decorations, hunt for unique collectibles scattered across Los Santos, enjoy boosted nightclub bonuses, and acquire stylish cosmetic gifts.

Chinese New Year celebrations have become a tradition in GTA Online, joining the roster of annual holiday events.  Last year's Year of the Dragon brought players dragon masks, themed clothing, and a generous GTA$188,888 login bonus.

This year's Year of the Snake celebration offers more than just login rewards, providing players ample opportunities to earn substantial prizes. Three new stunt races, accommodating up to 16 players, feature courses decorated with thematic paper lanterns and firework displays. Completing at least two of these races during the event's first week grants a GTA$100,000 bonus.  Furthermore, participating in any of the three races unlocks a special Lunar New Year livery for the Maibatsu Penumbra FF, delivered within 72 hours of completion, provided the race is entered before February 12th.  As an added bonus, players earn double GTA$ and RP for participating in these races.

The exclusive Maibatsu Penumbra livery isn't the only cosmetic item up for grabs.  Players can also acquire a range of stylish login rewards, including the Black Snake Yogarishima Outfit, Red Serpent Leather Jacket, Snake Soul Pendant, Snake King Pendant, Red Snake Soul Cap, and Gray Snake King Cap.

For the dedicated collectors, 36 golden Yunbao Collectibles are hidden throughout Los Santos.  Finding each collectible awards GTA$ and RP, while discovering all 36 unlocks the ultimate prize: the Gold Snake Santo Capra Outfit.

Beyond the event-specific bonuses, GTA Online Nightclubs are also getting in on the festivities. Players will earn double GTA$ from their Nightclub's daily income and double GTA$, RP, and Goods from Nightclub Goods Missions.  Aspiring nightclub owners and those looking to upgrade their establishments can take advantage of a 30% discount on all nightclub properties, upgrades, and modifications during the event period.
