InZoi creative director Hyungjun Kim has revealed that the development team is seriously considering a Nintendo Switch 2 version of their innovative life simulation title. While the next-generation Nintendo console launches on June 5 with an impressive lineup of third-party support, InZoi fans should temper their expectations due to potential hardware limitations.

Emerging as a fresh challenger to EA's long-running The Sims franchise, InZoi debuted in March to widespread acclaim from both gaming communities and critics. The early access version continues to evolve through regular updates that introduce new features, quality-of-life improvements, and content expansions. Recent patches have demonstrated the studio's commitment to incorporating player feedback into the development process.

While PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are confirmed for future release, the possibility of a Nintendo Switch 2 adaptation remains uncertain. In a candid discussion with VideoGamer, Kim explained: "We're exploring multi-platform expansion opportunities, and the Switch 2 represents an exciting potential avenue to reach broader audiences - provided we can achieve satisfactory performance optimization."

The development team faces significant technical challenges, as InZoi's visual fidelity pushes current hardware capabilities. Kim noted the uncertainty surrounding Nintendo's upcoming console: "Without finalized specifications, we can't guarantee compatibility. Early rumors suggest RTX 2050-level performance, which falls slightly below our recommended requirements. Significant optimization would be necessary for a viable Switch 2 version."

Interestingly, other graphically intensive titles like Cyberpunk 2077 are confirmed for Switch 2 launch, utilizing Nvidia's DLSS upscaling technology to deliver playable frame rates. This technological approach might offer a potential pathway for InZoi's portable adaptation.
