The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is about to get a whole lot shinier!  A new booster pack, Shining Revelry, is launching on March 27th, bringing with it the highly anticipated debut of Shiny Pokémon.  This exciting update also introduces ranked PvP battles and special missions, offering players even more ways to engage with the popular mobile game.

Following a regular release schedule of booster packs nearly every month since its launch in late October 2024, Pokémon TCG Pocket continues to expand its digital card collection.  The recent Triumphant Light expansion, released on February 28th, added 96 new cards, including the powerful Arceus EX and related cards. Now, Shining Revelry promises another wave of exciting additions.

The trading system in Pokémon TCG Pocket is also undergoing significant changes to address player feedback. The developers announced these changes via the game's official YouTube channel.

Shining Revelry marks the first appearance of Shiny Pokémon – color-swapped variations of existing Pokémon – in the mobile game.  While the full card list is yet to be revealed, several exciting cards have been previewed, including Shiny versions of Charizard EX, Lucario EX, and Pachirisu.  New Pokémon like Wiglett and Varoom are also making their debut in the game. A Shiny Beedrill is featured prominently on the booster pack's artwork, hinting at its inclusion in the set.

The expansion also introduces new Trainers and Pokémon from the recent Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. In addition to the Shiny Pokémon mentioned earlier, a stylized Tatsugiri card and a Trainer card featuring the Levincia Gym Leader and streamer, Iono, have been revealed.

Launching alongside Shining Revelry on March 27th are ranked PvP matches.  This highly anticipated feature allows players to compete against others of similar skill levels, earning seasonal emblems to display on their profiles.  Furthermore, special Starter Deck Missions will run through April 26th, rewarding players with a ticket for a free starter deck. And for fans of the iconic fire-type Pokémon, a special Charizard binder and display board will be available starting April 1st.
