Microsoft has amplified its Xbox Game Pass offerings for the latter half of March 2025, introducing a fresh wave of games including day-one releases and additions to the Core subscription tier.  Following a relatively quiet start to the month, the second wave of March additions significantly expands the available content for subscribers.

As previously announced, 33 Immortals and Atomfall debuted on Game Pass as day-one releases on March 18th and 27th, respectively.  Atomfall, an alternate history survival shooter, has garnered significant pre-release buzz, drawing comparisons to the popular Fallout franchise.

The second wave announcement also highlighted the arrival of Octopath Traveler 2 on March 19th, offering a compelling addition for JRPG enthusiasts.

Beyond the new releases, Microsoft has also enhanced the Xbox Game Pass Core tier. Starting March 26th, Core subscribers will gain access to Tunic, an acclaimed indie title often compared to the Zelda series; Batman: Arkham Knight, the critically-acclaimed conclusion to Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy; and Monster Sanctuary, a unique blend of metroidvania and monster-taming gameplay.

These additions to the Core tier provide significant value to subscribers, offering a diverse range of gaming experiences at a more affordable price point.

While new titles are joining the service, several games will also be departing Xbox Game Pass at the end of March.  Four Yakuza games will be leaving the platform on March 31st, following two other Yakuza titles that departed earlier in the month. Other departing titles include Monster Hunter Rise, MLB The Show 24, Lil Gator Game, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2, Open Roads, and The Lamplighter's League.
