The most recent update, released in November 2024, introduced uncapped frame rates for Xbox Series X users, a feature previously removed and later reinstated.  This update also improved the bounty hunting system within the Trackers Alliance, adding more target variety and locations, and addressed bugs related to the 'Shattered Space' quests.

While official announcements are pending, speculation among dedicated fans centers around the next DLC expansion.  'Shattered Space', released in September 2024, marked the game's first anniversary. Todd Howard confirmed a second-year DLC was in development back in June 2024,  leading players to anticipate a potential September 2025 release, aligning with the previous expansion's timeframe.
