Seamless Transition: Transferring Your Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Character to the Full Game

The highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds has officially launched, allowing players to dive into the thrilling world of hunting formidable beasts.  For those who participated in the open beta, Capcom has provided a streamlined process to transfer your meticulously crafted characters into the full game experience.

This convenient feature ensures a smooth transition, letting you continue your journey with the hunter and Palico you've grown attached to. By following a few simple steps, you can seamlessly import your character data and avoid starting from scratch.

To initiate the transfer, navigate to the Character Creation menu within Monster Hunter Wilds.  Locate the "Design" menu and select the "Beta Test Data" option.  This will prompt the transfer of your hunter and Palico data from the beta, provided you have an active internet connection and the full game installed.

It's important to note that only character appearance data is transferable.  Any weapons, armor, or items acquired during the beta will not carry over.  This ensures a balanced playing field for all hunters embarking on their adventures in the full game.

Capcom has outlined a few scenarios where character data transfer might not be possible. Certain character designs or unforeseen technical issues could prevent the transfer. Additionally, only the character data saved at the end of the second open beta will be used, as data from the first beta has been overwritten.

If you choose to create a new hunter and Palico for the full game, you can still utilize your beta character designs later by using a Character Edit Voucher or Palico Edit Voucher, respectively.  This provides flexibility for players who want to experiment with different appearances.

Beyond character transfer, Monster Hunter Wilds offers a wealth of post-launch content. Players can look forward to new limited-time event quests and regular updates.  The first title update, scheduled for early April, will introduce the formidable Mizutsune, new event quests, and even more challenging monsters than Tempered monsters.
