Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 has launched, bringing a wave of new content and features to the popular battle royale.  One of the most notable additions is 'Moments,' a system allowing players to customize their in-game audio experience using Jam and Lobby Tracks.

Players can now select intro and celebration music that plays at the beginning and end of their matches, respectively. This highly requested feature gives players more control over their auditory experience, adding a personalized touch to victories and match starts.

The ever-expanding library of Jam Tracks, with new additions hitting the Item Shop every Thursday, provides a diverse range of musical options.  Fortnite continues to engage its community with creative content, recently showcasing a humorous mockumentary about a fictional rap rivalry between the in-game character Big Dill and Grammy-award-winning artist T-Pain.

Beyond the 'Moments' feature, Epic Games has also implemented pre-loading for updates on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.  This improvement significantly benefits players with slower internet connections, allowing them to download updates ahead of time and jump into the action as soon as the patch goes live.

The pre-loading feature has been met with enthusiasm from the community. However, its limited availability has sparked some frustration among PC and Nintendo Switch players who are still awaiting its implementation.  Players are eager for news from Epic Games regarding when pre-loading will be available on other platforms, but no official announcements have been made yet.

The 'Moments' feature adds a new dimension to player expression within Fortnite.  By accessing the 'Moments' section in their locker's music tab, players can select their desired tracks for match intros and victory celebrations.  This allows for personalized soundtracks during crucial moments, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

Importantly, the chosen music only plays for the individual player, ensuring that it doesn't interfere with the audio experience of teammates or opponents.  This thoughtful design choice keeps the gameplay environment balanced and respects individual preferences, even in split-screen mode.

While initially causing some confusion, the 'Moments' feature quickly gained popularity. It offers a more accessible way to enjoy licensed music in-game compared to the rarer music-integrated contrails. With a readily available library of music acquired through events, battle passes, or the Item Shop, players now have a vast selection of tracks to personalize their Fortnite experience.
