Genshin Impact 5.5 Leak: Natlan Expansion, New Artifact Sets, and Cryo Character Speculation

Recent Genshin Impact leaks hint at substantial additions coming in Version 5.5.  The update is expected to expand the Natlan region southwest, introducing a new Artifact Domain containing two distinct Artifact Sets.

One set appears designed to enhance plunging attacks, potentially benefiting characters like Xiao and perhaps even the rumored character, “Gaming.”  Its five-stack bonus likely revolves around a six-second rotation incorporating plunging attacks, elemental skills, and charged attacks.  This focus on plunging attacks suggests Xianyun might be featured on the upcoming event banners.

The second set presents a unique mechanic geared towards Cryo characters who don't rely heavily on Elemental Energy.  Currently, no released Cryo characters fit this description, leading to speculation about upcoming characters like Skirk from Nod-Krai.  The set's bonuses suggest Skirk might have an Elemental Burst mode similar to Raiden Shogun, with normal attacks forming the core of her rotation.  This would be a fitting parallel to her purported student, Tartaglia, and his weapon-switching Elemental Skill.

The new Natlan zone in Version 5.5 promises to bring exciting gameplay changes and challenges.  One of the new Artifact Sets seems tailor-made for the upcoming character, Varesa, further fueling anticipation for her arrival.

The Cryo Artifact Set's unusual focus has sparked theories. While characters like Mavuika and Sethos don't utilize Elemental Energy, neither are Cryo. This points towards Skirk, and potentially other future Cryo characters, possessing a unique playstyle.
