The first half of January 2025 saw a relatively quiet period for Xbox Game Pass additions. However, the latter half of the month picked up the pace considerably with several new releases.

Subscribers enjoyed a diverse range of titles, including notable day-one launches like the well-received Eternal Strands.  Sniper Elite: Resistance joined the service on January 30th, followed by Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector as the final addition for the month on January 31st.

As January draws to a close, anticipation builds for the February 2025 Game Pass lineup.  Currently, two confirmed titles are generating excitement among subscribers.

Far Cry New Dawn, a spin-off/sequel to Far Cry 5, originally launched in 2019 to mixed critical reception. However, its inclusion in Game Pass offers players a chance to experience this post-apocalyptic adventure.

The highlight of the February 2025 additions is undoubtedly Avowed, the eagerly-awaited RPG from Obsidian Entertainment. Launching on February 18th, Avowed promises a captivating experience for RPG fans.

Published by Xbox Game Studios, Avowed has been in development for several years and boasts gameplay reminiscent of Skyrim, although it focuses on large open zones rather than a single, massive open world. Early previews suggest a promising and immersive experience, making it a must-play title for RPG enthusiasts.

While Avowed and Far Cry New Dawn are the only confirmed titles so far, additional games are expected to join the Xbox Game Pass library in February.  Further announcements are anticipated around February 4th, providing subscribers with a clearer picture of the complete February lineup.
