Rumors are swirling that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, initially revealed as a Nintendo Switch title, might also be making its way to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This speculation stems from a now-removed PlayStation Store listing spotted by Gematsu on January 27th. While the listing was swiftly taken down, its brief appearance has fueled excitement among PlayStation users.

The original Fantasy Life enjoyed success as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive, launching in Japan in 2012 and globally in 2014.  When its successor, Fantasy Life i, was announced in 2023, it appeared to follow the same path of Nintendo exclusivity. However, several delays and this recent leak suggest a potential shift in strategy.

The quickly removed PlayStation Store listing purportedly revealed both PS4 and PS5 versions of Fantasy Life i, pointing towards a release date of April 23rd or 24th, depending on the region. While an April release window was previously confirmed, this leak provided the first concrete date. Notably, this timing aligns with rumors of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, which accessory maker Nacon has suggested will occur between April and September 2025.

While rare, Nintendo exclusives have occasionally ventured onto other platforms.  Examples include the anticipated PS5 and Xbox Series X port of Doom 64, originally a Nintendo 64 exclusive, and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, which transitioned from a Wii U exclusive to a multi-platform release.  Even Level-5's Professor Layton series, initially a Nintendo staple, eventually expanded to mobile devices.  These precedents lend credence to the possibility of Fantasy Life i gracing PlayStation consoles.
