Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Producer Confirms Part 3 Won't Be PS6 Exclusive
2025-01-24 09:17:00The producer of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy recently reassured fans in an interview, confirming that the third and final installment will not be exclusive to the PlayStation 6 and expressing confidence in its satisfying conclusion.
The first installment, Final Fantasy VII Remake, initially launched as a PlayStation 4 exclusive before later arriving on PlayStation 5 and PC. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part, followed a similar pattern with an initial PS5 release and a subsequent PC port launched earlier this year. This staggered release strategy led some to speculate that the third installment might be exclusive to the upcoming PlayStation 6. However, producer Yoshinori Kitase has dispelled these concerns.
In a recent interview with Japanese media, Kitase addressed these concerns directly. When asked about players' anxieties regarding a potential PS6 exclusivity after experiencing the first two games on different PlayStation consoles, he responded with a reassuring, "No, players can rest assured."
