RGG Studio has released a new update for their action-adventure title, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.  This patch, version 1.12, focuses on resolving issues related to manual saving, arcade game rankings, and overall game stability. See the full list of changes below.

Originally launched on February 21, 2025, for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, Like a Dragon Gaiden follows Kazuma Kiryu six months after the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.  Waking up on a beach with no memory, Kiryu embarks on a swashbuckling pirate adventure. Players captain Kiryu's private vessel, the Goro-maru, recruit a ragtag crew, explore islands for treasure, battle rival pirates, and unravel the mystery behind a legendary lost treasure.

Key Fixes and Improvements in Update 1.12:

  • Resolved an issue preventing manual saving.
  • Fixed a bug where loading a save file while on the ship would cause the player to fall into the ocean with no way to return.
  • Addressed a problem preventing players from obtaining golden orbs.
  • Resolved an issue where arcade game rankings were not saving correctly.
  • Corrected various text errors and improved localization.
  • Implemented various bug fixes to enhance game stability and performance.
  • Updated to Intel XeSS 2.0.1.
  • Fixed a rare crash occurring during asset loading.

Regarding Nvidia GPU Crashes:

The cause of random driver crashes on some Nvidia GPUs is still under investigation by the GPU vendor.  Limiting the frame rate to 60 FPS has been identified as a potential workaround to reduce the likelihood of crashes.  If you are experiencing frequent crashes, please try this solution by going to Settings > Graphics Settings > “Set Frame Rate to 60 FPS”.
