The free-to-play RPG has been a massive success since its 2023 launch, boasting over 20 million downloads in a single day and an average critic score of 83 on OpenCritic.  Version 3.0, “Paean of Era Nova,” introduced powerful 5-star characters like The Herta and Aglaea, further highlighting the disparity between older and newer units.

Rumors surrounding Version 3.3 suggest potential character additions, though details remain scarce.  However, HoYoverse's commitment to addressing power creep suggests these new characters may be balanced alongside adjustments to older ones.

While HoYoverse hasn't specified a timeline for these buffs, it's unlikely they'll arrive with Version 3.1, scheduled for a livestream on February 14th.  Leaks surrounding 3.1 point towards the inclusion of Divergent Universe Bosses – returning foes like "Borisin Warhead: Hoolay," "The Giver," "Cirrus," and "Wonder Forest's Banacademic Office Staff."

Leaked images also hint at new explorable areas in Version 3.1, showcasing opulent interiors within Amphoreus, a massive crystal atop a pedestal, and an ornate throne. These additions promise further expansion of the game's rich world and lore.
