World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.5: Potential Release Date and Exciting New Content

2025-03-25 04:24:28

The in-game calendar and splash screen from the World of Warcraft 11.1.5 Public Test Realm (PTR) hint at a potential release date of April 22nd.  Horrific Visions Revisited, a revamped feature from Battle for Azeroth, is slated to begin on May 20th.  While these dates are not confirmed, they suggest players won't have a long wait for new content in the ongoing War Within storyline.

Recent previews of Patch 11.1.5 have revealed several exciting additions. The Nightfall open-world activity, the limited-time Dastardly Duos event, and the return of Horrific Visions are just a few of the highlights coming to Azeroth.

There's speculation that Patch 11.1.5 may introduce a sought-after hunter customization option. While official details are scarce, hints from the PTR suggest this possibility.

Evidence from the PTR points to a potentially earlier-than-expected release. The splash screen infographic mentions upcoming events like the Winds of Fortune leveling event, Children's Week, and Horrific Visions Revisited. Given that patches typically launch on Tuesdays, and Children's Week starts on Monday, April 28th, a release date of April 22nd seems plausible.

The PTR's in-game calendar currently lists May 20th as the start date for Horrific Visions Revisited.  Assuming an April 22nd patch release, this would place Horrific Visions Revisited approximately four weeks after the initial patch launch, potentially midway between 11.1.5 and the hypothetical 11.1.7.

An April 22nd release would also maintain Blizzard's recent eight-week release cadence, following eight weeks after the launch of Patch 11.1, Undermine(d). While these dates are speculative and subject to change, an official announcement from Blizzard is likely imminent.

In addition to Children's Week, Dastardly Duos, and Horrific Visions Revisited, players can also anticipate the return of Noblegarden, the Easter-themed holiday, starting on April 21st.  A potential April 22nd patch release would provide a wealth of content for players to enjoy this spring.
