Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: PS5 Release Rumored for April Alongside Forza Horizon 5

Recent rumors indicate that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle could be arriving on PlayStation 5 as early as April 2025, the same month Forza Horizon 5 is slated to debut on the console. While Microsoft confirmed a PlayStation 5 release for Indiana Jones earlier this year,  The Verge's Tom Warren has suggested an April launch window. This aligns with previous leaks hinting at a spring release, potentially giving PlayStation 5 owners access to the action-adventure title sooner than expected.

This potential release comes amidst a significant shift in Xbox's exclusivity strategy.  In 2024,  several titles like Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, and Grounded,  transitioned to PlayStation 5.  This trend continues into 2025, with Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold also planned for the platform. The upcoming arrival of Forza Horizon 5 on April 29th further solidifies this multiplatform approach, offering the Premium Edition early access from April 25th.

While a sequel to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle hasn't been officially announced, discussions about its potential gameplay mechanics are already circulating.  Maintaining the core gameplay elements that defined the original will be crucial for any follow-up title.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has addressed the shift towards multiplatform releases, defending the decision to bring Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to PlayStation 5. In 2024, Spencer emphasized the strength of Xbox franchises while acknowledging the business realities of the gaming industry.  He highlighted Microsoft's high standards as a reason for expanding the reach of their titles to a wider audience, including their long-time competitor, Sony.
