Treyarch has unleashed a substantial update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 with the launch of Season 2.  Players can expect a wealth of new content, including maps, weapons, modes, and a brand-new Zombies experience.

The Season 2 trailer showcased the addition of three new multiplayer maps: Bounty, Dealership, and Lifeline.  These maps promise diverse environments and tactical opportunities for players to explore. A fresh take on Team Deathmatch arrives with 'Overdrive' mode, while the classic Gun Game makes its triumphant return, offering fast-paced and engaging gameplay.

A new arsenal of weaponry joins the fight in Season 2.  Players can earn the iconic PPSh-41 SMG through the Battle Pass, alongside the Cypher 091 Assault Rifle, Feng 82 LMG, and TR2 Marksman Rifle. Limited-time events offer further rewards, such as new attachments, the devastating War Machine Scorestreak, and the tactical Slipstream - Enforcer Perk.

Zombies fans can delve into 'The Tomb,' a new map teeming with undead hordes and perilous challenges.  The return of the Death Perception Perk-A-Cola and the powerful Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon will aid players in their survival.

Season 2 also introduces new operators, including the Vortex BlackCell and Nocturne Battle Pass operators.  A crossover with The Terminator franchise brings a new Tracer Pack and a limited-time event in February, offering exclusive rewards.  Security measures receive a boost with major upgrades to the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system.

Several quality-of-life improvements are implemented, such as the ability to track up to 10 camo and calling card challenges simultaneously.  Weapon balancing adjustments enhance the Goblin Mk2 Assault Rifle, Marine SP and Maelstrom Shotguns, and various sniper rifles.  Bug fixes address issues in the Citadelle des Morts Zombies map and Directed Mode.

The Citadelle des Morts Zombies map receives several bug fixes addressing stability issues and exploits. Directed Mode sees changes with Automatic Exfil now initiating after the current round concludes.  Numerous weapon balancing changes aim to improve gameplay.

This season also sees updates to progression and Prestige, along with significant changes to the challenge system to provide a smoother and more rewarding experience for players pursuing Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100% completion.  Social features and channels receive updates to enhance community interaction.
