The popular April Fools' event, Shroomie Shenanigans, is officially back in Cookie Run: Kingdom as part of the Error Busters Season 2 update.  This marks the return of a highly anticipated event, last seen nearly three years ago, much to the delight of dedicated fans.

Originally introduced shortly after the game's launch, the Shroomie Shenanigans event allows players to use magic mushrooms to give their Cookies fun, unique, and often anime-inspired transformations.  Despite its popularity, the event has been absent until now.

The return of the Shroomie Shenanigans was recently revealed in a video on the official Cookie Run: Kingdom YouTube channel, featuring Wedding Cake and Black Forest Cookie. Starting March 26, 2025, players will be able to access transfiguration spells from the character level-up menu. Along with new avatars, each Cookie will also receive an exclusive April Fools' Day story, offering players the chance to earn additional rewards.

The announcement video teases the transformed appearances of Wedding Cake and Black Forest Cookie, creating excitement and speculation amongst fans.  The popularity of these characters, especially with Black Forest Cookie recently becoming a guaranteed draw, adds to the anticipation surrounding their new looks.

This event provides alternative appearances for all Cookies released since 2022, including favorites like Shadow Milk Cookie.  Older Cookies will require one Rainbow Shroomie for transformation, while newer Cookies will need two. These special looks are event-exclusive and will be removed once the event concludes. Players can also choose to toggle off a Cookie’s alternative appearance in the character level-up menu if they prefer the original design.
